special interest groups
We have six Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings each month. These are held over lunch or in the evening and are hosted on Zoom. There are SIGs focused on a number of Agile topics, including DevOps, Agile coaching, Lean/Kanban, and Agile at Scale. All our SIGs are posted on our meetup page at www.meetup.com/agileaustin (or click on event calendar)

agile coaching
The Agile Coaching SIG helps agilists to improve their Agile coaching skills. This longstanding meetup brings experienced practitioners, new voices, and the ethical practice of coaching skills together in one place.
This group is hosted by Lani Dame and Syd Markle, and it meets the first Monday of each month.

Product and AI
The Agile Austin Product and AI SIG focuses on the intersection of Product, AI, and Agile. Given the rapidly changing nature of AI and how it applies to designing and building products, the agenda is...agile! Matt Roberts and Vishal Sheth host this group, which meets on the last Friday of the month.

agile at scale
The Agile at Scale group gathers to discuss topics that apply when scaling agile across an organization. This includes DevOps, Lean UX, Transformational Leadership, and much more. If you're interested in professional growth and exchanging ideas about scaling agile across an enterprise, this group is for you!
This group is hosted by Leland Newsom and Ben Rogers, and meets on the third Friday of each month from noon to 1pm.

book Club
The Agile Austin Book Club was created as a group that could read, gather, and review Agile, Lean, and Organizational Dynamics books from different perspectives. (Discussions can get quite lively!) Participants also leave discussion notes for others to follow, so even if you come late to the party, you can benefit and add your own comments, too. Participants frequently refine their discussions and present at SIGs and elsewhere.
The group is led and organized by Ned Horvath, and they meet on the first and third Thursdays, most months.

kanban/lean
The Kanban/Lean SIG features a variety of presentations and discussions on topics related to Lean, Kanban, Scrumban, System Thinking, Complexity, Theory of Constraints, Agile, Scrum, and more. Come join them if you're new to Lean and want to learn, or an expert and want to discuss advanced concepts.
This group is lead by Jim Brisson and Satish Kumar, and they meet on the second Friday of the month from noon to 1PM.

leader
The Agile Austin Leader SIG shares knowledge and expertise on leading Agile adoptions/transformations. Anyone is welcome to lead an Agile Transformation -- an executive, a developer, a tester, and so on. If you are interested in sharing or learning from others' experiences, we welcome you!
This group started in 2010 and is the longest running SIG led by Agile Austin President, Max Ekesi. It meets on the first Friday of every month.
