Thank you again for becoming a speaker at “Keep Austin Agile 2022” (herein referred to as KAA2022) which will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022. We are excited to have you share your thought leadership in-person in Austin, Texas, with our community soon. Please note that this is a hybrid conference, with attendees being both in-person and live, online via a platform such as Zoom or other similar remote conferencing system.

 

By entering into this agreement, you agree to permit Agile Austin to record, capture, edit, and/or use the recording of your KAA2022 presentation. While you retain complete ownership of your presentation and any corresponding materials, Agile Austin shall hold copyright ownership for any recording, audio or visual, of your presentation and/or Q&A session at KAA2022. Agile Austin further shall have permission to continue to use the recording and materials in the future. Possible uses may include, but are not limited to, archival copies for educational use and inclusion on Agile Austin’s website. 

 

Nothing in this Agreement requires that you grant ownership of your ideas to Agile Austin. Agile Austin will simply own the rights for the recording and collateral materials, and you shall continue to own your original content. Your presentation is not exclusive to KAA2022 or Agile Austin. You are free to give the same talk or speech elsewhere, and nothing in this Agreement shall prevent you from doing so.

 

Additionally, Agile Austin can provide a copy of the recording to you and will grant you a nonexclusive license to use the recording upon your written request. You may upload the recording to display on your own website for promotional purposes. However, posting any of the KAA2022 recordings to Social Media, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube is NOT permitted without express written permission. You do not have the right to grant use of the KAA2022 recording to any third party. 

 

You grant Agile Austin permission to use your name, likeness, and biographic information to use and promote the recording. You agree that Agile Austin may take photographs, screenshots, screen copies, and/or screen recordings at KAA2022, and use those images or recordings for purposes consistent with this Agreement. In addition, Agile Austin shall determine whether to publish or not to publish the recording and/or materials, either in whole or in part, at its sole discretion. 

 

If you use any other copyrighted work or material in your presentation, you have the sole responsibility to identify it as such and will hold Agile Austin harmless for any disputes that may arise therein. Additionally, you agree to grant Agile Austin a non-exclusive royalty-free irrevocable transferable license to use any materials submitted by you in support of the recording. In turn, Agile Austin shall provide you credit as the author of materials upon your written request, in the following format: your Name © Year. 

 

With KAA2022 focused on our presenters sharing their thought leadership, your presentation should avoid any promotion or selling of your products or services. 

 

Any claim, controversy, dispute, or cause of action (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) based upon, arising out of or relating to this assignment and transactions contemplated in it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Texas. By signing this agreement, you are agreeing to the Terms of this Speaker Agreement and recording release.
