Across industries, the concept of Technology Transfer is a vital part of the potential success of an institution or company. Technology Transfer deals with the facilitating of communication or creating a learning environment to make handoffs of information and knowledge faster and more reliable.

Translated into Software we might have, as an example:

Development => QA => Automation

Development must somehow transfer knowledge of the new features/product to QA when then tests those features, and then finally automation is put into place for repeatable and reliable testing.

Some questions that would be good for discussion would be:

As a Developer, what do I transfer to QA whenever I am done with a new product/feature?

As a Tester, what do I need to know from Development to test a new product feature?

How do other stakeholders Product Management, Technical Writers, etc. get the information they need?

The follow up question would be, as Development/QA how do I create a better learning environment to allow me to get the information I need from my coworkers? how can I make sure they get what they need from me?
