_The Phoenix Project_ by Gene Kim, Kevin Behr, and George Spafford is a business fable akin to _The Goal_ where a fortunate (or unfortunate depending on how you look at it) IT manager is promoted to a level of responsibility in an organization that has about three months to fix or quit. You will likely find yourself taking sides in this dramatic story and identifying everyone in your organization in the characters contained within. Along the way, you’ll learn all sorts of interesting techniques that fall between and among agile and lean concepts.

This one is most definitely a page turner.

This will be the second meeting where we discuss the second third of the book (through chapter 24) and talk about what we found valuable, questionable, and things that make you go hmmmmmmmm. .

Feel free to come whether you read all, some, or none of the first half! We’ll provide Torchy’s and drinks.

* Agile Austin will pay for your book if you participate! Show up to two of the three planned meetings, save your receipt, and Agile Austin will reimburse the cost of your book!
