The Agile Austin U Foundations Course is an 8 week night course that is free to our community. The intent is to introduce the core concepts of agile, Scrum, Lean Software and Kanban. There will be two volunteer instructors for each class and dinner will be provided. Proof of Attendance will be provided for those interested in claiming PDU’s. The full schedule can be found at http://www.agileaustin.org/training/.

Agile is all about doing things in small increments, learning from them and adjusting based on what you learned. But your customers and stakeholders need a little more than “We’ll let you know what the release is going to contain when we’re done”. In week 4, we will discuss how to set and manage expectations for an agile release. We’ll talk about everything from estimating and coming up with the original plan to communicating it to your stakeholders to keeping it up to date as you learn more.
