Program Description:
Continuing the Agile Austin Book Discussion series.  Join Jay Paulson reading and discussing Kanban by David J. Anderson
You must acquire the book on your own.  There is a $20 participation fee that is refunded upon completion of  3 of the 4 discussion sessions.
Review schedule:
Each discussion meets from 6pm to 8pm
  • Wednesday October 19th Meeting 1   Chapters 1 – 5 ~60 pages
  • Wednesday, October 26th Meeting 2   Chapters 6 – 10 ~60 pages
  • Wednesday, November 2nd Meeting 3   Chapters 11 – 15 ~60 pages
  • Wednesday, November 9th Meeting 4   Chapters 16 – 20 ~60 pages
The $20 fee will be completely refunded to you if you attend 3 of the 4 meetings.

Jay Paulson is a Software Developer at IBM Initiate.  Jay holds a Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems from St. Edwards University, a BS in Computer Science, and a BA in Studio Art from Millsaps College.  With ten years of experience as a software developer in the Austin market, Jay has spent the last four years focused on practicing, learning, and teaching Agile development.  He has a passion to improve the agile process and eliminate waste throughout the software development life cycle.  In his most recent role, Jay has completed a 508 Accessible healthcare web application written in JSP and Java, is currently working on a healthcare management tool written in Flex, and was a part of the team that introduced continuous integration and test driven development to the IBM Initiate group.
